Accessibility statement
Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA, and how to report an issue.
We want The Aligned Self to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
Our commitment
Accessibility is treated as part of doing this well, not an afterthought. We review new pages and features against WCAG 2.2 AA and fix issues as we find them.
What we have done
- Semantic, structured headings and landmarks so pages can be navigated by screen reader.
- Colour combinations chosen to meet AA contrast for text.
- Keyboard access to interactive elements, including the assessment and menus.
- Respect for the reduce-motion setting, so animations are minimised for those who prefer it.
- Text that resizes without breaking the layout.
Known limitations
Some third-party or embedded content may not yet fully meet our standard. Where we are aware of a limitation, we are working to address it, and we will always help you access the same information another way.
Reporting an issue
If you find something difficult to use, please tell us. Write to help@alignedself.co.uk with the page and the problem, and we will respond promptly and do our best to put it right. Your feedback genuinely helps.
